Facebook introduced Shops feature to create online stores to support small businesses during the pandemic. The service is free and simple, according to Retail-Loyalty.
On Facebook and Instagram, the business owner can choose the products that they would like to advertise and design, for example, the cover and color of the brand. The function is available for any company, regardless of its size and budget, specifies NIX Solutions.
Companies can find Facebook Shops on their Facebook page for business or on their Instagram profile, and open the tool in Stories or ads. From there, users will be able to go to the product catalog, save what they are interested in, and make an order on an external website or directly in the application if delivery is arranged in the USA.
Buyers can connect with the company on Messenger, WhatsApp or personal Instagram messages.
Shops service will be available to all users in the coming months, the company said. In the future, they will be able to view products and make purchases without leaving the chats of these instant messengers.
The main goal of the update is to make shopping convenient. Facebook wants to help any company start online sales where the buyer can contact the seller, ask questions and track delivery.
