NIX Solutions: Google Optimize Will Stop Working on September 30, 2023

On September 30 of this year, Google will disable the Optimize tool and its enhanced paid version of Optimize 360. The Google team recommends that users download all historical data up to this date. This is stated in the help.

The Google team explained what will happen to contracts for the paid version of the product.

Users who wish to renew their Google Analytics 360 (Universal Analytics) contracts in the first half of 2023 will be able to renew their Optimize 360 contracts with service dates through September 30, 2023 or earlier.

Those who signed contracts for Google Analytics 4 will not be able to sign contracts with Optimize 360, but will have access to Optimize through the Google Analytics 4 integration until the tool is deactivated.

Users who migrate from UA to GA4 but continue to use Google Analytics 360 will receive free access to Optimize 360.

The Google team will continue to invest in A/B testing tools, but as part of the development of Google Analytics 4.

NIX Solutions reminds that last week Google Ads launched experiments for Performance Max campaigns.

You can also find help on how to export Optimize historical data. To access raw historical data, you need to use the Google Analytics Data API – you can read about it on the Google Developer site.
