Amazon has announced a $4 billion investment in Anthropic, the AI company behind the chatbot Claude. This increases Anthropic’s total funding to $8 billion, following $1.25 billion raised in September last year and $2.75 billion in March this year.
Partnership with AWS and AI Training
Beyond funding, Amazon Web Services (AWS) will serve as a key training partner for Anthropic’s neural networks.
