NIX Solutions: Apple Sets Record with 2.35B Devices

Apple has announced a new record for the number of active devices worldwide. However, the growth rate has slowed compared to last year.

Apple’s Active Devices Reach 2.35 Billion

Currently, 2.35 billion Apple devices are in use globally. This marks a new record, following the 2.2 billion reported in February 2024. The company added 150 million devices in the past year, reflecting a 6.8% increase. However, the previous year saw a larger jump—from 2 billion in January 2023 to 2.2 billion in early 2024—representing a 10% growth rate.

While the numbers show a slowdown, Apple remains optimistic about future growth. The upcoming launch of the Apple Intelligence AI service in China could contribute to an increase in active devices.

Apple Intelligence and Market Outlook

Apple Intelligence is expected to debut in China as early as April, coinciding with the release of iOS 18.4. This update will introduce support for Simplified Chinese and other languages. CEO Tim Cook also noted that iPhone 16 sales have outpaced those of the iPhone 15 in regions where Apple Intelligence features are already available, adds NIX Solutions.

Although growth has slowed, Apple continues to expand its ecosystem. We’ll keep you updated as more developments unfold.
