Investment in AI Innovation

Apple CEO Tim Cook said during the company’s annual shareholder meeting in February that Apple is “investing heavily” in artificial intelligence. “Later this year, I look forward to sharing with you how we will break new ground in generative artificial intelligence, another technology we believe has the potential to redefine the future,” Cook said.

Potential Collaborations and Developments

According to Bloomberg sources, Apple also recently held talks with OpenAI, where it considered the possibility of using its AI models. However, it is stated that “both parties have not yet decided on the terms or branding of the AI agreement, nor have they decided on how it will be implemented.”

Future iPhone Updates

Apple’s next big iPhone update, iOS 18, is expected during the Worldwide Developers Conference. That’s when the company will be able to talk more about its plans to implement generative artificial intelligence and the latest iPhone software that consumers will be able to see in the fall.

Ongoing Verification and Responses

Other news outlets could not independently verify Bloomberg’s report. Apple declined to comment, and Alphabet also did not answer journalists’ questions, notes NIX Solutions.
